I’m thinking about majoring in environmental science but I’m not entirely sure what jobs are out there and how difficult it is to find a job despite the recession. I’ve read that the general yearly starting salary is around 40,000, and if anyone could confirm this, that’d be great.

Since there are 20 million here illegally and once they become citizens and bring their families over, how many Americans will lose their jobs to people who will do it for half price? The construction industry, maids, fast food restaurants, etc have already been decimated by this. Entry level jobs are all being occupied now. How long before your job is gone?

I’m going to MEPS in two weeks, I still don’t know what job I’m eligible for. I got a 62 on the asvab. I know women cant have infantry or artillery jobs but what are the jobs closest to an infantry job that as a female I can see myself asking for?

I’m 29 yrs old, and have a BA in political science, as well as a little grad school. I’ve been out of college for 6 yrs and have had a few jobs that I didn’t like or really didn’t click for me. I’m having trouble finding direction for my career and don’t want to job hop until retirement age. I feel like being unsure was OK at age 18-24, but I’m almost 30! It seems like many people my age have found careers and are getting ’settled’ with their careers. I’ve had so many ‘ideas’ about careers from firefighter to teacher, lawyer, aid worker, peace corps, etc. (the list goes on) and can’t seem to figure myself out. Anyone else had this problem? Suggestions or advice?

Jobs that can be beneficial for the coping and treatment of OCD? Jobs that dont cause the sufferer to feel so obsessed and compulsive about their job but still require a minimum BS or BA degree and are not dead end jobs?
I forgot to add stressful to the list, jobs that dont cause too much obsessions, compulsion and stress to occurr on a daily basis.
Jobs that also have coping mechanisms to the illness.
